And the winner of the most interesting Christmas gift goes to....

R's Mom.

Yesterday we got two packages from her -one addressed to R and one to the Dahl Family. I let the kids open up the family package which contained:

An adorable felt bucket Santa (see picture) for each little ankle biter
T's had: an unpainted wooden helicopter and truck (the craft kind that you paint yourself)
a toothbrush that has a suction cup on the bottom (cool idea!)
a gummy finger with candy bones and a lollipop ring (no comment)
some matchbox cars
a plastic candy cane filled with Hershey's version of M&M's
a cute personalized picture frame ornament with T's name on it
a whistle - a metal one on a string. not that it should cause any problems in this household.
a nerf type football

S's had: a package of bracelets in pastel colors
a two pack of gloves (which she has worn pretty much nonstop since finding them)
a package of barrettes
a plastic candy cane filled with Hershey's version of M&M's
a suction bottomed tooth brush
another gummy finger
a whistle (again, on a sting - yay)
a nerf type ball
a personalized picture frame ornament with S's name on it.

R and I got a lovely ornament from Pigeon Forge

I got a salt and pepper shaker set. The shakers are shaped like wrapped Christmas gifts and sit on a festive holiday sled.

R's package was a scrapbook of his soccer playing years from 1978-1980.

I think the felt Santa buckets are the cutest things I've ever seen. Unfortunately, the kids love them so much that they are already starting to come apart. Never fear though - I've got glue and if I run out, I've got about 1,000 places to buy more.
